The Arcade

A small art exhibition made for the ILLY café to showcase the brand's art collection. I decided to create a small gallery to highlight the uniqueness of the collection. The structure will also include a section where customers can get their coffee cans, while exploring the artistic values of the brand. While doing shape finding with coffee experimentation, I noticed the bubbles inside the coffee, which created a path through the cup. I decided to use bubbles to create a path through the gallery. My main goal was to introduce the collection of mugs to passers-by first and then allow them to buy them.

The cups are held in Plexiglas spheres which are fixed together by a Plexiglas tube, itself fixed to the structure. Inside the sphere there are luminous panels (lumisheet) which help to highlight the product. The name of the artist and the mug are indicated on the spheres on a sticker. The spheres also have a QR code. Customers can scan the code and get more product information through their phone.
